Viking Steel began operations in 1992 in Sacramento, California, where it stills maintains its headquarters and fabrication facility today.

The company was purchased in 2004 by Dan Hansford, who has been growing the company ever since, including expansion into a sales, estimating and project management office in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Viking strives to provide customers with the whole package. From consulting on design-build projects and providing budgets early in the construction process to erecting large-scale structural steel and installation of detailed finishing touches. We are there to help you every step of the way.

We welcome working as a team with general contractors and providing creative solutions and suggestions where appropriate. Our overriding goal is to help meet your cost and time commitments along with the vision of the project.

Dan Hansford, Viking president, graduated from California State Polytechnic University Pomona in 1969 with a degree in Civil Engineering. With over 40 years in the construction industry and 30 years experience in metal fabrication, he understands that by providing flexibility and creativity, Viking helps its customers gain a competitive advantage.

Our highly qualified personnel are experienced in production and running job sites, as well as communicating with contractors and subcontractors, and managing erection crews.
